mike rueca: My name is Michael Rueca. I am a Senior at The Art Institute of Las Vegas, and there I study Audio Production. I told myself at age 16 that I would find a way to play music for the rest of my life. After high school I took a year of classes at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in the pursuit of a Music Education B.A. with emphasis on both classical and jazz saxophone performance. A few years later I stumbled upon AILV. I decided that the curriculum was a viable alternative to a music education degree. In my time at AILV I have learned to appreciate and develop technical skills necessary to compete at a very high level in a variety of job markets. My ultimate goal is to use my knowledge and passion of music along with the education I have received at AILV to become a music composer for major motion films.
